A Royal reading of Be Happy to be You

A Royal reading of Be Happy to be You

W O W !  It is a very exciting day when Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York reads a picture book that you illustrated! And, then she posts it to her YouTube channel Storytime with Fergie and Friends! She loved the topic of the book. Author Diane Hull created this book to help children realize that it’s okay to be who you are and to be happy to be you. Baby Bird was a joy to create and illustrate. He wears his heart on his sleeve.

Share the picture book reading with your family.  Here it is – Storytime with Fergie and Friends – YouTube Channel

The book is titled “But Why? A virus story about feelings. Written by Cassie St. Amand and illustrated by me during the months of March to June 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. It’s a gentle picture book story about how children feel about not being able to play at their neighbourhood park, empty streets of cars and people, quiet zones and face masks.

This little rabbit’s emotions are evident on every page of the book. He feels happy, sad, worried, angry to name a few.

Releasing in the next few months by Friesen Press.
