The matriarch gorilla of the Toronto Zoo recently passed away. This new illustration is my tribute to Josephine. She was 49 years of age.

A Covid-19 virus picture book about how a child may feel during a pandemic.
Available now.
The book is titled “But Why? A virus story about feelings. Written by Cassie St. Amand and illustrated by me during the months of March to June 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. It’s a gentle picture book story about how children feel about not being able to play at their neighbourhood park, empty streets of cars and people, quiet zones and face masks.
This little rabbit’s emotions are evident on every page of the book. He feels happy, sad, worried, angry to name a few.
Releasing in the next few months by Friesen Press.
